About Household Hazardous Waste Collections
Noble Environmental is on site the 1st and the 3rd WEDNESDAY of each month, from 8am-1pm (regular operating hours) collecting household hazardous waste at a cost of $.80/pound (credit/debit cards only). For questions about acceptable materials, check with Noble Environmental, 412-567-6566.
** Recycling Center employees are not legally permitted to handle Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and material cannot be stored on site. HHW is ONLY accepted on the first and third Wednesday of the month when Noble Environmental is on site. **
Accepted Household Hazardous Waste:
We can only accept 5 gallon containers or smaller
- Oil Based/Latex Paint/Stains/Varnish
- Putties, Adhesives, Glues
- Wood/Metal Finishing Products
- Water Sealers
- Flammable Liquids
- Batteries
- Antifreeze/Automotive Fluids
- Household Cleaning Agents
- Drain Cleaners
- Lawn & Garden products/Fertilizers/Herbicides/Pesticides
Prohibited items:
- Pool chemicals
- Explosives
- Ammunition
- Radioactive materials
- Pharmaceutical
- Syringes
- Medical waste
- Smoke detectors
- Mercury containing devices
- Elemental mercury
